About THE ARTIST

Mary Beth Schwartzenberger has celebrated the work of the hand throughout her career.  Starting as a production weaver, she was immersed in the world of color and texture. As her work transitioned to framed pieces for interiors, she has never forgotten the unique textural effect that only fiber can lend.

Her work is a distinctive blend of painting and hand embroidery.  She paints on a handmade Japanese paper called kyoseishi and then brings the image to life with the addition of embroidery.

Mary Beth’s subjects are always nature-based, inspired by places as intimate as her garden or as majestic as Yosemite National Park, her eternal muse.

Her works are available either in original form or as art prints on paper or canvas.  Rental options are available for home stagers as well.

Mary Beth lives and maintains a studio in Los Angeles, California.
